When I was in need of a pet sitter recently for my two little dogs... a Shih Tzu and a Terrier mix, no one I knew was able to help out. Reluctantly, I made arrangements to put Jack and Jill in a kennel - despite my intense aversion to kennels. One kennel agreed to keep both dogs for $23.00 per day, and another wanted $19.00 per day / per dog!

Fortunately, miracles happen for all our needs and a week before my trip I saw an advertisement for “Pawsitively Wonderful Pet Sitting Service”. Already knowing the cost of the kennels, I was sure I could not afford pet sitting services, but I made the call anyway. Much to my surprise (and delight), Dawn offered to keep my dogs at her house - in the house - and for less than either of the kennels charged! Even if she had charged more, it would have been worth it to me just to know my dogs were living in the house, with people and not in some outdoor kennel away from people! But that was only the beginning of my excitement over Dawn and Paul Miller and Pawsitively Wonderful PSS. First, Dawn and Paul came to my house - just so she could “see Jack and Jill in their own environment”. Then, while they were in her home, she and Paul played with Jack and Jill as if they were their own dogs, and Dawn even sewed a bed for them, made home-made treats for them, and bathed them the day before we returned.

I would never have asked for such attentive care and certainly my dogs would not have experienced such loving care in a kennel. Our pets are like our babies... we only want the best care for them. Dawn treated Jack and Jill like they were her babies - what more could a pet owner ask for?

Pawsatively Wonderful is the Greatest!

I was vacationing for the weekend in Virginia, when I got a last minute notice that the hotel that I was staying in, did not allow pets.

I was traveling from Washington,DC and spent all morning trying to find a kennel in the Virginia area. Everyone was booked that weekend, and just in a nick of time I came across Pawsatively Wonderful and was referenced to the Virginia area.

I spoke with Ms. Miller by telephone and immediately I sensed that she was a pet lover and was made to feel very comfortable in my decision to leave my (9) month old shih-tzu (Gizmo) with her and the other pets .

I highly recommend Pawsatively Wonderful to anyone who wants the best care for their pet!
